A national organization of LGBTQIA+ seniors. Many resources are available on their website. They also offer helpful webinars and an advocacy program, the SAGE Action Squad.

National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging

The country’s first and only technical assistance resource center focused on improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults, their families and caregivers. LGBT Elder Hotline

Diverse Elders Coalition

Founded in 2010, the Diverse Elders Coalition advocates for policies and programs that improve aging in our communities as racially and ethnically diverse people; American Indians and Alaska Natives; and lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender people.

Family Caregiver Alliance

For more than 40 years, FCA has provided services to family caregivers of adults with physical and cognitive impairments, such as Parkinson’s, stroke, Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. Our services include assessment, care planning, direct care skills, wellness programs, respite services, and legal/financial consultation vouchers.

SAGECare

An international organization offering training to facilities such as nursing homes in culturally competent care for LGBTQ+ seniors. SAGECare also offers a directory of trained, culturally competent facilities and providers.

Wisconsin’s Family Caregiver Support Programs

Located in every county and tribe in the state, Wisconsin's Family Caregiver Support Programs provide information and assistance to help people better care for their loved ones – and themselves. Whether arranging for services (e.g., respite care, transportation, etc) or helping families understand their options for care, Family Caregiver Support Programs give caregivers access to the information and services that can help them in the often rewarding – sometimes challenging – role of caregiver.

The Illinois state Commission on LGBTQ Aging has a website, as well as a designated advocate to contact with concerns.
